Welcome to the DCSD video streaming server
You can use the following links to view the videp stream.
The link for Windows Media Player/MPlayer/MPUI/other non-VLC players:
mms://scry.dubuque.k12.ia.us:1755
The link for VLC:
mmsh://scry.dubuque.k12.ia.us:1755
Video streaming content on this site can be accessed using
a range of video players. If you do not have a player that
works with this stream, we recommend the
VideoLan VLC client program. If you do not have VLC, it can be
downloaded from
videolan.org
here
.
In VLC, you can go to File->Open Network Stream
and select "HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS" with a URL of
mmsh://scry.dubuque.k12.ia.us:1755
and then click on OK.
After a few seconds of buffering it should start to play.
In MS-Windows, you can associate VLC with mmsh:// URLs so that clicking on
mmsh:// URLs in your browser opens VLC using that URL automatically. One
way to do this is with this
mmsh.reg file
. Right click on it, save it as a file, then double click on the file to import those registry entries.
The browser must be restarted before the change takes affect, and VLC
must be installed in the default location
c:\Program Files\VideoLan\VLC\vlc.exe
Depending on which version of Windows Media Player (WMP) you have, and
what CoDecs you have installed, it may also work using WMP. You
can try it if you would like using a mms:// URL. MPlayer/MPUI may also be
able to play it, as may other players that can handle mms:// video streams.
Recent version of Real Player also seem to be able to play it, if the
right codecs are installed. Again, in Real Player, just File->Open
the mms:// URL.
The stream also appears to work with MPlayer. As long as you have a new
enough version and new enough codecs. You can get both from here:
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html
The player is here:
http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32/MPlayer-mingw32-1.0rc2.zip
The codecs are here:
http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/windows-essential-20071007.zip
and the MPUI graphical front end for MPlayer is useful to
have with it as well:

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/mpui/MPUI-1.1.10.zip?modtime=1151008790&big_mirror=0
If you have the proper programs, associations, and registry keys, you
may be able to use these links to launch the stream in your player,
instead of using the method of playing the video in VLC that is listed
above.
